Skiing-paradise
Skiing in the greatest resorts
Enjoy the largest and greatest skiresorts in Austria
Along with the lively family ski runs, speedy carving routes and countless deep snow variants, our guests also love the region on account of the traditional mountain inns and traditional ski lodges. The fair prices, cosy places to stay and special ski packages in PillerseeTal are tempting too!
The three ski areas in PillerseeTal are not just inspiring thanks to the variety of pistes they offer, but also on account of theirlegendary snow-assuredness. From the end of November until Easter, the region is known far beyond the borders of the Kitzbüheler Alpen as a "snowy refuge"! In short - PillerseeTal in Tirol and its three top ski areas and snow-assuredness provides the perfect conditions for your skiing holiday in the Kitzbüheler Alpen!
Family resort "Pillersee"
The small yet perfectly formed Buchensteinwand ski area in the centre of PillerseeTal has so many highlights in store. The littlest children get to head out on their first circuits on 'Bobo´s Snow Train' and can enjoy themselves safely in the Schneeland. Very well prepared slopes await advanced level skiers, and the ski routes cater for pros very well indeed.
Austria´s largest ski resort
The Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang and the neighbouring Tyrolean Fieberbrunn ski area are growing together; from December 2015, there will be a new 10-seater gondola lift TirolS and a new 3.5 km Vierstadlalm piste linking the 2 ski areas. This means that from the coming winter season 2015/16 the expanded Skicircus will have 270 km of pistes and 70 lifts, making it not only the largest interconnected, but also one of the most varied ski areas in Austria.
Great: Waidring Steinplatte
Pleasure skiers wedeling across the wide, not too steep pistes in the Steinplatte, Waidring's local ski area. The contemporary gondola and chairlifts leave you wanting for nothing and nothing stands in the way of you enjoying a detour into neighbouring Germany either, since the ski area is connected with the Reit im Winkl ski area in Bavaria. What about a trip to the legendary Winkelmoosalm with Rosi Mittermaier? Après-ski fans are also well catered for in the traditional lodges and in the contemporary, yet traditional Schindldorf at the valley station.
